20 year old man arrested during Beverley Minster burglary.

Humberside Police are investigating a burglary at Beverley Minster in which a stained glass window was damaged and a collection box was knocked of the wall and the contents stolen.

Following a security alarm being activated at 8:10pm, the police were quickly deployed to the scene.

A 20 year-old Beverley man was arrested as he climbed down from scaffolding and was questioned in relation to the incident. Following questioning he was released pending further enquiries.
