WARNING ISSUED FOLLOWING VEHICLE THEFTS

EAST RIDING: KEEP VEHICLE KEYS OUT OF SIGHT

Police are urging home owners to ensure their homes and cars are left securely following several burglaries where thieves have stolen car keys and made off with the vehicle.

Between 10pm on Monday September 7 and 6am the following day, a house was burgled on Denmark Drive, North Cave and keys to a black BMW were stolen and the car driven away. It was later recovered in South Yorkshire. (crime number: 2137246)

At 4am on Tuesday September 8 in Pollington near Goole, a black Land Rover Range Rover was stolen from the drive of a house following a burglary at the premises. This vehicle is still reported as stolen and has not yet been recovered. (crime number: 2136929)

At approximately 5.30am on Wednesday September 9, a Vauhall Zafira was entered as it was parked on the drive of a house on Alured Garth in Hedon, a set of house keys were stolen from within the vehicle and suspects entered the house and took the keys to another vehicle, a Land Rover. This was then stolen and later recovered a short distance from the house. (crime number: 2137012)
