Driffield Musical Theatre’s latest concert ‘Rhythm & Booze’ will appear at the Driffield Community Centre on Saturdays 7th and 14th November.
The group of 14 local performers have prepared a varied programme for this cabaret-style show ranging from the call-to-arms of the Women’s Land Army anthem ‘Back to the Land’, to the silky allure of ‘Big Spender‘ and the sheer joy of ‘This Could be the Start of Something’ and ‘Happy’.
The producer of the Musical Theatre, David Rounce, said “The whole society’s working very hard learning new material.
“It’s been a lot of fun and what’s especially satisfying about this concert is that every member has their own moment to shine.
“We’ve a fantastic musical director, David Cooper, who came in at very short notice and has done sterling work whipping us into shape with his talent and humour.
“Our enthusiastic and very patient choreographers, Kate Burniston and Andrea Hawken, have created movement, vitality, and a touch of that West End sparkle.
“I’m confident we’ll put on a show to remember!”
Driffield Musical Theatre is very grateful for the help and sponsorship of Aldgate Veterinary Practice, who are pleased to be supporting community theatre. There will be candle-lit tables, and you can take your own drinks and nibbles.
‘Rhythm & Booze’ starts at 7:30pm, tickets £7 available at Sokells or on the door.
