The event team at Sewerby Hall and Gardens has put on a week-long schedule of fantastic activities for Spring Bank Holiday half term.
Visitors will be able to take part in two Rusticus Theatre Arts activities on Tuesday, 31 May (Sewerby Smuggler) and Thursday, 2 June (May Madness!) both at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
After the dust has died down from the Amy Johnson open day on Wednesday, 1 June, there will be a Circus Workshop session between 12noon and 3pm on Friday, 3 June. A family-friendly Circus Arena, where the stars of the show are the visitors themselves. Come along and try your hands at juggling, your feet at unicycling or even your nerves on the 10ft tight-wire challenge.
The day will also include support from East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Sport, Play and Arts team with two other activities; Wildlife Warrior and Play Sessions.
For music-lovers, solo trombonist Kenny Stamp, will be performing in the Orangery at 2pm on Thursday, 2 June together with a new set of faces on Sunday, 5 June in the form of the Doncaster Wheatsheaf Singers again at 2pm. The musical repertoire of this talented all female choir includes music ranging from songs from the shows, popular choral ballads to spirituals and pop classics.
Admission charges are £6.50 for adults, £4.40 for children and £20 for a family (two adults and two children). There is no additional charge to attend events and activities unless otherwise stated.
