Tickets are now on sale for Driffield Town Cricket Club’s inaugural Beer Festival that is set to take place at their Kings Mill Road ground from 1st-3rd July.
20 cask ales and ciders will be on offer courtesy of The Butcher’s Dog along with a BBQ and food stalls whilst musical entertainment will be provided be a number of local bands and artists.
Beer’s not the only attraction with high-quality cricket taking place on each of the three days to wet the whistle of the watching patrons.
The action begins at 6:30pm on Friday evening with one of the quarter-finals from the long-running and prestigious Driffield Evening Cup.
This provides an aperitif for the main event of the weekend on Saturday when Driffield Town 1st XI face Yorkshire Academy in the Yorkshire Premier League North from 12noon.
Current Yorkshire 1st XI players Will Rhodes, Karl Carver and Matthew Fisher have all played against the Woldsmen in recent years so it’s a great opportunity to see some up and coming stars in action.
Sunday sees the curtain come down on the festival with the club’s annual six-aside competition taking place. This will see a dozen teams don coloured kits in an attempt to be crowned the 2016 champions, preceding entertainment from DJ Jamie Kember and guests from 4-7pm.
Early bird tickets are available before Monday June 13th priced at £5 for each day, with the price rising to £7 thereafter.
Tickets include entry into the festival marquee as well as a free pint of ale or cider.
