Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision which happened on Tuesday 12 July on Dog Kennel Lane near Beverley can now confirm the name of the man who sadly died.
30-year-old west Hull man Paul Robert Wardell died in the collision after the silver coloured Ford Fiesta he was driving collided with an orange Mercedes tipper truck at around 5:10pm on the A1035, Dog Kennel Lane on Tuesday 12 July.
As police continue their investigation into the collision and appeal for witnesses, Mr Wardell’s family have made the following statement:
‘We as a family are deeply saddened and shocked at the untimely death of our son, brother and uncle, Paul. He was a lovely, caring and loving lad who shall be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family request privacy at this distressing time, thank you.’
Anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen either vehicle travelling prior to the collision which happened close to the Malton Road B1248/A1035 roundabout is asked to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 453 of 12 July 2016
