Celebrate Yorkshire Day at Sewerby Hall and Gardens

Sewerby Hall and Gardens is holding a fun-filled day out for all the family this Yorkshire Day, Monday, 1 August.

Hosted by the East Riding of Yorkshire Town Crier, the day includes various activities and events.

The Town Crier himself will be running a ‘Best Town Crier’ competition for visitors of all ages to take part in, and the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor John Dennis, will be on site to oversee proceedings, citing the Yorkshire Declaration of Integrity at 11.41am.

The day will also be supported by the team from Bridlington Birds of Prey and Animal Park who will be bringing along some of their magnificent Birds of Prey to take part in static and flying displays as well as handling sessions for visitors between 11am and 4pm.

Makara Morris Dancers will also be on site with their colourful and unique brand of dance and music at 1pm and 3pm.

Admission charges are £7 for adults, £4.90 for children and £22 for a family (two adults and two children). There is no additional charge to attend events and activities unless otherwise stated and the cost includes access to the house, the zoo and the gardens.
