Having won a prestigious Carl Alan Award in 2014 for Outstanding Services to Classical Sequence, ISDC organiser, Audrey Singleton continues to share her love and passion for Sequence Dance.
Now in its 72nd year, the event takes place from Thursday, 8 to Sunday, 11 September with morning sessions, from 10.30am-12.30pm, Afternoon sessions from 2-4pm, and evening session, from 7.30pm.
With daily guest MCs for the daytime dance sessions and ever popular MCs Neil and Lesley Marshall and Michael and Angela Hayton for every evening session, a varied programme of sequence dances will be included on the programme throughout the festival.
On Friday evening, there will be a spectacular star Latin American Dance Show by one of the top professional Latin couples in the UK, Joseph Hopwood and Alexandra Hawley.
Saturday will play host to the ISDC Inventive Dance Competition, recognised by the British Dance Council, with a Grand Challenge Trophy in each section and the highest prize money of any Inventive Dance Competition in the UK up for grabs. Three new sequence dances will be chosen as the winners of this competition and the dances will be distributed worldwide.
On Sunday, the weekend will finish on a high with the Grand Final Ball on the evening.
Audrey said: “We have been coming to Bridlington for over 20 years and The Spa Bridlington is a perfect venue for the festival, as one of the largest ballrooms in the UK.
“Each year the sequence festival proves popular and this year will be even more so.
“The staff at EY Events and The Spa Bridlington are wonderful, offering great support throughout the event.”
