Appeal for witnesses after theft of Mitsubishi L200 pickup

At 6.20pm on 5 October 2016 a blue Mitsubishi L200 Pick up, registration YG15 WMV was taken by thieves. The truck was parked whilst the owner carried out tree surgery work with a colleague, on a dead end road close to the village of Buttercrambe

Three men, all described as white and aged between 20 and 40 years of age, were seen in the area driving a metallic light blue saloon type car. They appear to have paid close attention to the victim and his vehicle and a short time later, the pickup was stolen with the keys and made off towards Buttercrambe.

North Yorkshire Police conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen three males acting suspiciously in or around the location of Buttercrambe on 5 October 2016 or anyone who may have seen the vehicle being driven after 6.20pm.
