A minute’s applause will be held during Hull City’s Premier League fixture against Burnley this Saturday (25th February) to remember the life of Langtoft AFC player James Moorfoot.
Tragically, 28-year-old James collapsed during his side’s fixture with Hedon Rangers 3rds at Rudston Playing Fields on Saturday 12th February and despite the best efforts of ambulance crews and both sets of players, passed away.
Since then, glowing tributes have been paid on to James, especially at Hornsea School where he worked as an English teacher.
James was also a season-teacher holder at the KCOM Stadium and the club have kindly agreed to a dedicate his life during the 28th minute of Saturday’s game. As the crowd applaud, a picture of James will appear on the big screen along with a message from those closest to him.
James’ friends and teammates at Langtoft have said they are determined to give him a fantastic send-off on Saturday and are inviting everyone to share any information regarding the tribute on Twitter feeds, Facebook pages and websites.
They would also like you to share the news with @HSOC_Official, @HullCity, @BurnleyOfficial, @humbersidesport and any other appropriate hashtags to ensure the minute’s applause is given the exposure it deserves before Saturday in order to give James a rousing send-off at the home of his favourite football club.
