CLAAS Eastern Catfoss charity tractor run yields £1700 for Macmillan
The event on Sunday saw 51 tractors taking part and after setting off from the CLAAS Eastern depot at the Catfoss Industrial Estate, the convoy passed through the villages of Bewholme, Ulrome, Lissett, Gransmoor, Burton Agnes, Kelk, Foston-on-the-Wolds and North Frodingham.
The tractor run is one of several events CLAAS are taking part in during 2017 as they aim to raise £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by October 2017.
One of the organisers, Malcolm Wright, said: “It was a brilliant day and I am absolutely chuffed to bits with how it went, especially raising all that money, and we still have some more monies to come in.
“Everybody who came along really enjoyed it and were even asking if we would be doing it again next year!
“I would really like to thank all the participants and everybody who volunteered to help as marshals and with the organisation.
“Thanks also to Burton Agnes Hall who accommodated us for lunch and for everyone who donated along the way. It has surpassed all of our expectations.”
As a business, CLAAS Eastern, who have seven branches in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, support a different charity each year and aim to raise £10,000 for each one.
