Tributes have been paid after the sudden death of well-known Beverley businessman Ashley Godber.
The 47-year-old, who established marketing company Adrenaline Advertising Ltd alongside the late Ian Woodcock in 2006, was an extremely well-regarded member of the local community and the news has seen lots of his closest friends and associates pay tribute on social media.
As a member of Cherry Burton Cricket Club, Ashley was well-known in local cricketing circles and all those who would like to share their memories of him are invited to attend a meeting to be held at the club from 7pm tonight. (Thurdsay 1st June 2017)
One of Ashley’s teammates, Mark Frampton, has paid tribute to a ‘true gentleman’: “Devastating news regarding Ashley Godber, shared many a cricket field with him. A true gentlemen who had others at the forefront of his heart. Local cricket has lost a true ambassador, he’ll be sadly missed by many. RIP Ash.”
In recent weeks, Ashley had been training to run the Hull 10k in aid of Cherry Burton CC and donations have been flooding in throughout the day to his Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ashley-godber.
