Officers from North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group had lucky escape yesterday (Saturday 26th August 2017) whilst responding to reports of an RTC.
As they reached the A168 at Asenby their patrol car burst into flames which engulfed the car rapidly. Fortunately, the two officers managed to get out unscathed although all their personal kit & Police equipment didn’t fair so well.
Both officers were uninjured but understandably a little shaken.
Fire fighters from North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene
