An 86-year-old pedestrian has died following a collision with a van in Pocklington.
About 11:15 am today (Wednesday) on The Balk at Pocklington, near to Sainsbury’s, there was a collision between a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a pedestrian.
Unfortunately, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting the reference log 159 08/11/17.
Pocklington Balk was closed in both directions due incident near to the zebra crossing between Burnby Hall and Sainsbury’s.
Emergency Services and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
