A unique and quirky furniture and home accessories shop opens for business

A unique and quirky new business will open its doors to the public tomorrow.
Eclectic17, based in Stamford Bridge, will welcome all to its grand opening on Friday 9th February, offering out-of-the-ordinary furniture, lighting and home accessories.

The new establishment is the brainchild of Louise Daddy, who wanted to share her enthusiasm for the unusual with others.

“I’ve always had a big passion for interior design and home interiors,” she told the Wolds Weekly.

“There’s a lot of shops selling the same sort of items, particularly shabby chic styles, which I think is slightly outdated now.

“I have set this business up to be different from everyone else, however I feel that I will definitely have something for everyone!

“I’m sure my quirky and industrial-style furniture, lighting and home accessories will catch people’s eye, I have table lamps with ostrich feet and furniture made from old oil drums, including a bar styled to look like a VW camper van. There really is plenty to browse over.

“I’m confident that both men and women will take interest in what I have for sale, so there won’t be any men saying ‘I’ll wait outside whilst you take a look dear’.”

Having spent six long, hard months preparing for Eclectic17’s grand opening this weekend, Louise is confident that it will all be worthwhile.

“My background in planning, supply chain management and procurement, really helped me set up Eclectic17.

“I have sourced all of the 20 different suppliers and designed the shop’s interior myself,” she continued.

“It looks and feels like a real emporium and I’m delighted that everything is ready for the grand opening this Friday.

“I believe this location is perfect as Stamford Bridge is a popular village and very central.

“With my shop being on the main street as you approach the main square, it will be noticed by passers-by travelling through the village on the A166 for their daily commute.

“Twelve-hour days have become the norm for me over the past few months but it will be worth all of the hard work and late nights in the end.

“I’m very excited to see my customers’ faces and reactions when they walk through the door and see my eclectic range of unique products.

“If you’re wishing to add unique elements to your home, Eclectic17 is the place to come.”
Eclectic17 is running an offer of 15 per cent off all items during its first three days of trading from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th February.
