Sewerby Hall and Gardens has an exciting week lined up to keep the family busy over the bank holiday weekend and half term.

There’s something for everyone each day, with Rusticus bringing a chance to find out why classic animal baddies from Aesop’s Fables and the Brothers Grimm are a lot cuddlier than they seem in Fairy Tails! Half term excitement at Bridlington Spa

Let your hair down and get the bank holiday weekend off to a magical start with Rapunzel (Saturday 25 May, 2.30pm), a vibrant take on a classic and much-loved fairytale packed with songs, dance routines and jokes a-plenty.

There’s even the chance to meet the characters after the show.

Then on Bank Holiday Monday (May 27, 2pm), go aboard the Jolly Roger for a swashbuckling pantomime adventure like you’ve never seen before.

Get ready to cheer for your favourite heroes, boo the dastardly villains, and sing along to catchy tunes that will have you tapping your feet in Treasure Island.

As if that weren’t enough to get the blood pumping, later that day (May 27, 7pm) the stars of Megaslam Wrestling are back at the Spa.

Boo! Cheer! Europe’s number one wrestling promoters return for more action-packed, death-defying family entertainment.

For the kids keen to take centre stage themselves, the Roller Disco (Tuesday 28 May, 4.30pm and 6pm) offer the chance to get your skates on and let the good times roll.

Funky high-quality multi coloured skates, lots of great music, disco lights, smoke machine and refreshments.

Georgian Day at Beverley Guildhall

On Saturday 1st June, from 10am to 4pm, experience the fun, family-friendly Georgian Day at Beverley Guildhall.

From light-hearted performances to face painting and children’s activities, there is something for all the family.

Come along and meet costumed characters who will bring to life the crime and punishment past of Beverley Guildhall and hear about what life was like in Georgian times.

Enjoy a performance from the region’s very own Regency Dancers who will be around throughout the day, and why not have a go yourself?

Whilst visiting the Guildhall, why not take a look around the Through the Eyes of a Georgian Gentleman to discover the fascinating life and times of John Courtney, a gentleman of Beverley, through his revealing diaries.

Elmer the Elephant fun at East Riding Libraries

Come along and celebrate everybody’s favourite elephant this half term! Make colourful Elmer-shaped sun-catchers that will brighten up any room and there is Elmer-themed Lego Art sessions,

Kids Go Wild: Spring Dreamcatchers

Head off on a spring adventure around the woods and meadows of the country park on Thursday 30 May.

How many signs of spring can you find? Forage for plenty of natural materials and make a woven willow dreamcatcher to take home.
