SUMMER FUN CONTINUES ACROSS THE EAST RIDING

Summer of fun at Sewerby Hall and Gardens 

A summer of fun-filled activities will be coming to Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Families are in for a treat this summer with a programme of events and activities planned for the venue from now until to Sunday 1st September. 

Join in with Yorkshire Day celebrations on Thursday 1st August, 10am-4pm. Enjoy music from the Orangery with The Assembly Line, Morris dancing in front of the house and Rusticus Adventure. 

Also take part in the Yorkshire Makers Festival from 9:30am until 4pm where there will be stalls, drink and artisan food makers, demonstrations, workshops, live music and much more. 

Weekly activities include Rusticus Encounter: Pirate, Rusticus Woodland Theatre: Treasure Island, magic shows, zoo workshops and more.

Free swimming sessions for 16s and under 

This summer, until Sunday 1st September, children aged 16 and under can enjoy free swimming at East Riding Leisure sites.  

Spaces for each session will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis until the bather capacity for the pool is reached.

Seashells are being swapped for jingle bells, as Christmas comes early to Bridlington for one day in August. 

‘Bridmas Day’ is coming to the town on Wednesday 7th August to promote the many fun events and attractions coming to the area during the holidays. 

Winter themed events will take over venues and services including Bridlington Spa, Sewerby Hall and Gardens and even the land trains, from 9am to 4pm on the day.

Live ‘n Loud at Flemingate 

Flemingate in Beverley is getting Live n Loud with a festival designed especially for young people aged 11-17. 

Go along and listen to live music, festival up your look with hair and glitter, try out DJing and even more, all for free. 

Activities include: 

Performances by local singers 

DJ performance at 2pm, followed by a DJ workshop, workshop between 3pm and 5pm, at the paved area near Starbucks 

Live art workshop with Friends on Every Street, between 2pm and 4pm, watch Friends on Every Street complete the artwork between 4pm and 5pm 

Festival hair and glitter 

Friendship bracelet making 

Selfie station 

Festival food and drink provided by Flemingate vendors 

Taking place on Friday 16th August 2024, between 2pm and 5pm, at Flemingate, Beverley on the grassed area next to the tipi. 

The event is free, and you can drop in any time between 2pm and 5pm, no ticket required. 

Charges will apply for food and drink
