WHAT’S ON ACROSS THE EAST RIDING INCLUDING FREEDOM ON TOUR IN BRIDLINGTON

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has released information about events taking place across the area over the remainder of summer and into autumn and winter. 

Iconic Bricks: Dinosaurs! – Dinosaurs is the brand-new tour from Iconic Bricks, featuring 18 life-sized brick models meticulously designed to awe and inspire audiences of all ages. 
 

Returning to Sewerby Hall and Gardens until Thursday 19th September, the touring show includes an impressive Triceratops, a colourful Stegosaurus, and a huge Iguanodon to name just a few. 
 

Visitors will get an insight into how the models are made and will be able to get up close to the incredible models.

Winter Woodland at Sewerby Hall and Gardens – The popular Sewerby Winter Woodland is back from Friday 6th to Sunday 22nd December.  

Enjoy the display of lights, sounds and special effects at a discounted price if you book before 12 midnight on Sunday 1st September.  

This year’s event will also include new light installations as well as a new theme with a chance to embark on an adventure and meet a host of cheerful festive characters along the way.

Freedom on Tour is back in Bridlington – After its successful first outing in 2023, Freedom Festival is bringing more acts out for a trip to the seaside. 

Grab an ice cream and feast your eyes on the international artists who will also be appearing at the main festival weekend from 30th August – 1st Sep.  

This year’s Freedom on Tour will be situated just beside Bridlington Spa on the seafront and is free to attend, just show up on the day to enjoy the shows.  

East Riding Coast and Countryside – Do you enjoy walks amongst nature? Is getting crafty with items you have foraged something you enjoy?  

Are you looking to get outdoors? Then look no further than East Riding Coast and Countryside activities.  

See bats flying and hunting for their supper on an evening walk at Oakhill Nature Reserve on tonight (Tuesday 27th August) or at Eastrington Ponds on Tuesday 3rd September.  

Or join in with the Yorkshire Wolds Way: Mountain Trike Ramble with Experience Community on Saturday 21st September and enjoy the dry chalk valleys of the Wolds.

Common Ground at Wilberfoss Community Centre and Middleton-on-the-Wolds Village Hall – Join Mikron on a ‘hill-arious’ ramble through the history of land access in England. 

From the Norman Conquest to loitering in lockdown, via The Mass Trespass at Kinder Scout. 

The Pendale and District Ramblers are looking forward to celebrating ‘in stile’ on their 50th anniversary walk, but the path has been blocked by the landowner.  

How will they find their way through? Their quest for freedom and fresh air won’t be easy, as they navigate bulls, beavers, and wandering sheep. 

Grab your boots and waterproof for a meander with Mikron on a hike through history.
