14-YEAR-OLD BOY CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER STABBING OF TEENAGER NEAR SCHOOL IN LEEDS

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed close to a school in the Horsforth area of Leeds.

Alfie Lewis was stabbed close to St Margaret’s Primary School in Horsforth before 3pm on Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police said he later died in hospital.

The 14-year-old will appear in Leeds Magistrates’ Court later on Thursday. He has also been charged with possession of a knife.

A 16-year-old boy who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has now been released without charge.
