YORKSHIRE MEMBERS APPROVE TAKEOVER LED BY FORMER CHAIRMAN COLIN GRAVES

Yorkshire members have approved a takeover of the club by a consortium led by former chairman Colin Graves.

The 76-year-old, who founded Costcutter, is set to return to Headingley in a position he held between 2012 and 2015.

This was part of the period when Yorkshire were deemed guilty of failing to address the use of discriminatory or racist language, for which the club was later fined.

The deal will now need approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.

An Extraordinary General Meeting took place at Headingley earlier on Friday, with the takeover receiving 746 votes in favour.
