Back in the Saddle: Action Horses Return to Headline 150th Show
‘A highlight of the day’ is how organisers have described the welcome return of Atkinson Action Horses as the main ring entertainment for the milestone 150th Driffield Show.
Organisers are looking forward to welcoming visitors for a special celebration when the 150th Driffield Show takes place on Wednesday 22nd July – combining the popular traditions of the historic show with some new attractions for all the family to enjoy.
Delighting the crowds at this year’s event will be East Riding’s own Atkinson Action Horses which will be the headline attraction in the GSC Grays Main Ring.
With over two decades of experience, Atkinson Action Horses have built an outstanding reputation for training horses and riders for film and television.
Their impressive portfolio includes work on major productions such as Poldark, Victoria, Peaky Blinders, Emmerdale and All Creatures Great and Small – meaning many visitors will already have seen their remarkable work on screen.
At the Driffield Show, audiences can expect a spectacular showcase of stunts and tricks usually reserved for the big screen. From high-energy acrobatics to dramatic, edge-of-your-seat moments, visitors are being promised a performance designed to leave them in awe.
Leading the team is internationally renowned horseman Ben Atkinson, whose career has taken him across the globe, including training horses in Dubai and working on Bollywood film productions in India.
His performances combine Classical Dressage, the highly skilled Airs Above the Ground and the exhilarating art of Cossack trick riding.
