Driffield RUFC are looking to hit form after last week’s draw with Ilkley RUFC as they head on the road to face struggling, Middlesbrough RUFC on Saturday (7th November)
Both sides have had a tough past two weeks with neither side being able to pick up any wins, with the Woldsmen and Ilkley playing out a 19-19 draw at Kelleythorpe, after losing their last away match at Hull RUFC 34-19.
Middlesbrough have had to suffer with consecutive defeats after being brushed aside last week against Blaydon 54-0, having lost to table toppers Alnwick 27-35, so both sides will be looking to pick up a win and hopefully climb up the Regional 1 North East table.
Driffield’s second team return to Kelleythorpe this weekend to take on Ilkley Barbarians on the back of a convincing 34-18 victory against Malton & Norton second team, while the third team travel to Goole RUFC third team looking to bounce back from a 45-35 defeat to Hull Ionians Ramblers.
The fourth team will be looking to keep themselves in the top four of the East Yorkshire Merit table as they travel to Scunthorpe RFC to take on the development side, while the women look for their second Women’s Championship North 1 victory in a row as they travel to Barnsley Ladies on the back of a fantastic 16-5 victory over Kenilworth Women.
