TWO MEN IN POLICE CUSTODY ON MOTOR AND DRUG OFFENCES AFTER RTC IN BEEFORD

Two men have been arrested after Humberside Police received reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A165 near Beeford yesterday (Wednesday 27th March).
Officers were called to the village at around 10pm with reports that a car collided with a lamppost before allegedly driving off.
It’s believed that two men later returned to the scene. Nobody is believed to have been injured as a result of the collision.
Officers them spotted a vehicle on Church Lane and two men nearby, who the officers suspected had been involved in the collision.
“A 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle,” said a Humberside Police spokesperson.
“The 29-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled class B drug. Both remain in our custody whilst our enquiries continue.
