Emily, 18, opens her own beauty salon at Mirabella in Driffield

Eighteen-year-old Emily Knaggs of Wansford has had a passion for make up and beauty therapy since a young age.
Once she left school, she attended East Riding College in Beverley and completed two years qualifying to NVQ level 3 in beauty therapy.
She has since gained experience in a beauty salon working to a high standard as well as offering her expert make-up to many bridal parties.
Emily’s passion for make-up and beauty has led her to now take the next step and be her own boss.

She has set up her own little salon based within Mirabella on Middle Street South in Driffield with the help and support from Michelle and Kerry (co-owners of Mirabella) who both saw the passion and potential in Emily.
Emily also wants to thank her grandma, Ann Knaggs, who has put £1 away each week in savings for Emily since she was born to which Emily invested this money in setting up her room.
Emily’s boyfriend Robbie Mills has also put so much effort and dedication into helping Emily set up with all the fixtures and fittings in her room.
Her parents Steve and Tracey Knaggs expressed their immense pride in their daughter and wish her all the best success in her new venture.

Emily wanted her grandma to officially open her room which was opened last week and she is now taking bookings for new clients.
Emily will be offering a wide variety of beauty therapy treatments along with offering her make-up services.
