Lifeguards are back on Bridlington beaches

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has renewed its agreement with the RNLI to provide lifeguards at weekends in June at three beaches in Bridlington:  Bridlington North, Bridlington South and Bridlington South Cliff.

From 3 July, the service will be provided on weekdays as well, and will also include Hornsea and Withernsea.

Councillor Mike Medini, portfolio holder for cultural and leisure assets, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to work with the RNLI again to fund the provision of this vital service, and I look forward to its further expansion for the summer holidays.”

The East Yorkshire coastline encompasses some of the UK’s most rugged and charming countryside, from rocky cliffs to glorious stretches of golden sand and family-friendly seaside resorts.
