The director of Thwing-based CHRYSALIS Case Management is hosting the #ChillThrillChallenge at Driffield Health Hub this weekend, where there will be an icy dip tank for gym-goers and members of the public to take the plunge for charity.

All are invited to go along to take part in the challenge to raise money for PAUL For Brain Recovery, Day One Trauma and Driffield Health Hub.

All those taking part are encouraged to donate to the JustGiving page at

People can also take the plunge at home, whether in a freezing cold shower, chilling in an ice bath or braving a brisk outdoor sea dip to raise funds for brain injury and major trauma survivors.

Director Ali Ward has 16 years of professional experience but also has first-hand experience of the devastation a brain injury has on both the individual and their family, when her brother at age 15 suffered a catastrophic brain injury.

At Chrysalis, their case managers are skilled in organising and co-ordinating rehabilitation services and resources to maximise an injured persons functional recovery, and ensure they receive well co-ordinated, quality care and treatment.

Ali will be completing the challenge on Saturday along with members of the public. She is also
taking part in a further challenge ‘The Poles of Inconvenience Rally’ which will see her continuing her fundraising for the chosen organisations, whilst trying to reach ‘inconvenient’ poles across Europe and North Africa in a self modified vehicle.
