Heavy police presence in East Riding village after man dies at local farm

A heavy police presence remains in the village of Everingham, near Pocklington, as officers investigate the ‘unexplained’ death of a man at a local farm.

Officers were called to the village yesterday (Thursday 21st April) after following reports of the man’s death.

An investigation is ongoing as officers establish the circumstances and cause of the individual’s death.

“Officers are in attendance at a farm in the East Riding village of Everingham following reports of the death of a man yesterday (Thursday 21 April),” said a Humberside Police spokesperson.

“Our enquiries are in their early stages as we look to establish the circumstances and cause of his death.

“At this stage of our investigations, the circumstances of the man’s death are unexplained and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

“We would like to reassure the community that our officers will be in the area whilst we continue with our enquires.
