BRITISH BOY ALEX BATTY ‘FOUND’ IN FRANCE WHERE HE HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE 2017

British boy Alex Batty, who has been missing since 2017 when he was aged 11, has been found in France, say French authorities.

Alex, from Oldham and now aged 17, never returned after a holiday to Spain with his mother and grandfather.

French authorities have said that Alex has been identified by his parents after he was spotted by a student whilst walking in heavy rain.

Alex said he had been walking in the mountains for over four days and was trying to get back to England.

“This is a complex and long-running investigation, and we need to make further enquiries as well as putting appropriate safeguarding measures in place,” said a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson.
