Gregg Wallace to step back from presenting MasterChef as historic misconduct allegations investigated

MasterChef’s production company has confirmed that presenter Gregg Wallace will step back from fronting the show.
The decision has been made after complaints were made to the BBC regarding historic allegations of misconduct, which are now being investigated.
In a statement released to PA, Banijay UK said Mr Wallace is “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process”.
Wallace, 60, has presented MasterChef since 2005. A review by the BBC said he could continue working for the Corporation after it investigated reports of an alleged incident during filming of Impossible Celebrities in 2018.
Wallace also presented Inside The Factory for the BBC until last year and was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
