AB Graphic International – Celebrating 70th anniversary with a move to bigger premises

AB Graphic International (ABG) has recently celebrated 70 years in business with the move to a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Driffield.

The company was established in Bridlington by the Burton family in 1954 and quickly established strong roots as an engineering operation.

Today, ABG is the global leader in innovative label and packaging solutions, delivering cutting edge print finishing solutions for clients across the world.

As part of its expansion plans, ABG has moved its dedicated Vectra Turret Rewinder manufacturing facility from Middleton-on-the-Wolds to a new site at the Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate.

The move has doubled the manufacturing facility space to 4994m2 and seen the company’s two machine shops, which were previously situated at Middleton and at the company’s Carnaby site, come together at the same location, freeing up space at Carnaby for additional manufacturing space.

AB Graphic have remodelled and extended the former Alfred Bekker factory after purchasing the site in January 2023.

Commenting on the expansion, ABG’s CEO, Simon Nadin, said: “This move is excellent news for ABG and our customers.

“Not only have we brought key parts of our business under one roof, but we have also made a significant investment in new machining technology that will yield additional capacity to cope with the increased demand.

“We look forward to providing our customers with the benefits that this non-stop production will allow.

“The extra space will also enable us to create a showroom environment, where we can showcase our products and services to customers.”
