Comedian and actor Tony Slattery has died at the age of 65
Some sad news this afternoon – The British actor and comedian Tony Slattery has died at the age of 65.
Slattery was a regular on Channel 4 show Whose Line Is It Anyway from 1988 and had roles in The Crying Game, Peter’s Friends and How to Get Ahead in Advertising.
He also played Gordon is Neville’s Island.
Slattery attended the University of Cambridge with Dame Emma Thompson, Sir Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie and was the former president of the Cambridge Footlights.
He had recently been touring in England and started a podcast in October.
A statement on behalf of his partner Mark Michael Hutchinson said: “It is with great sadness we must announce actor and comedian Tony Slattery, aged 65, has passed away today, Tuesday morning, following a heart attack on Sunday evening.”
