Man arrested following assault in Pocklington town centre pub

A man has been arrested following an alleged assault at a pub on Market Place in Pocklington yesterday evening (Monday 28th April).
It is reported at around 8:25pm that a man approached another man and reportedly punched him in the face before knocking him off his chair.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault by off-duty police officers.
The man was taken to hospital to be checked over for injuries to his ribs as a precaution and has since been discharged.
“If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist our enquiries, please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 557 of 28 April,” said a Humberside Police spokesperson.
