Man charged with multiple offences following vehicle stop in Bridlington

A Bridlington man has been charged after officers stopped a vehicle on Haslemere Avenue yesterday (Wednesday 14th May).
Allan Dobson, 50, of Tennyson Avenue, has been charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker, failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable, driving while disqualified, and using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today (Thursday 15th May). At approximately 11:10am, officers on mobile patrol spotted a vehicle suspected to be driven by a disqualified driver without valid insurance.
The driver reportedly failed to comply when officers requested him to switch off the engine.
