Motorcyclist Airlifted to Hospital Following Serious Crash on A166

A motorcyclist has been left with life-changing injuries following a serious collision on the A166 Stamford Bridge Road near Dunnington.
The crash, which occurred at around 3.07pm on Monday, 12 May, involved a black BMW X1 car and a grey BMW motorbike. Emergency services responded swiftly to the incident, and the motorcyclist was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.
North Yorkshire Police closed the road for several hours to carry out investigations and recover the vehicles involved.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses, as well as anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured the collision or the vehicles beforehand, to come forward.
