Moment of reflection in memory of Queen Elizabeth II
Driffield Town Council has announced it is organising a moment of reflection on the eve of Her Majesty’s funeral.
Members of the community are invited to gather around the Millennium Clock on Market Place at 7.55pm on Sunday (18th September).
At 7.58pm, the mayor Cllr Mark Blakeston will thank those who have attended the brief vigil, before a minute’s silence is held at 8pm – the time when the nation is invited to join together and remember the Queen.
A whistle will signify the end of the silence and the crowd will give a round of applause before singing the national anthem.
