ALL TRAIN LINES BLOCKED BETWEEN BRIDLINGTON AND SCARBOROUGH

Rail operator Northern has said that all train lines are currently blocked between Bridlington and Scarborough as emergency services deal with an incident.

Emergency services and Network Rail staff are due on site shortly, said Northern.

Trains running to and from Bridlington and Scarborough will be cancelled, delayed or revised, with the disruption expected to continue until 2pm.

Sheffield to Scarborough services will be unable to run between Hull and Scarborough in both directions. However, trains between York and Bridlington and Hull and Bridlington will run.

During the disruption, Northern tickets will be accepted on TransPennine Express services between Scarborough and York, and on CrossCountry services between York and Sheffield.

A rail replacement service has been requested by Northern to run between Bridlington and Scarborough, in both directions.
