Fourteen-year-old boy detained by police after teenager stabbed at school in Sheffield

Police have detained a teenager after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed at a school in Sheffield this afternoon.
South Yorkshire Police were called to All Saints Catholic High School in the city at 12:17pm after receiving reports of the stabbing.
The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, said police. Officers remain at the scene and the school grounds are closed.
“We are urging people to avoid the area while emergency services carry out their work,” said a spokesperson.
“We would like to reassure parents of pupils that we do not deem there to be a further risk at the school and further updates will be shared when possible.”
