Man arrested following assault in Beverley pub which saw 25-year-old man injured

A man has been arrested and Humberside Police officers are appealing for information after reports of an assault at a pub on Flemingate in Beverley at around 11:50pm on Friday 7th February.

Police received reports that an altercation took place inside the pub where a 25-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by being pushed to the ground and punched to the face, causing minor injuries to his eye.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of serious assault and has since been released on conditional bail whilst enquiries continue.

“Enquiries remain ongoing including reviewing CCTV footage, and we would appeal to anyone who has any information and may have witnessed the incident to please call us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 25*17628,” said a Humberside Police spokesperson.
