Declaration of result of poll – Election of Councillor for the Bridlington Town, South Ward held on 31 March 2016
I, the undersigned, being the Deputy Returning Officer at the election of a councillor for the Bridlington South Ward give notice that the number of votes recorded for each candidate at the election is as follows:
Vic BENNETT (Holder of the MBE) = 97 votes
Bridie CROFT (Labour Party) = 212 votes (ELECTED)
Andrea Michelle DUGGAN (Independent Candidate) = 69 votes
Timothy Robert Ord NORMAN (Independent) = 139 votes
Neil Thomas TATE (UK independence Party (UKIP)) = 208
The number of ballot papers rejected was as follows:
a) want of official mark = 0
b) voting for more candidates than voter was entitled to = 0
c) writing or mark by which voter could be identified = 0
d) being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty = 2
e) rejected in part = 0
Total rejected ballot papers = 2.
And I do hereby declare that the said Bridie CROFT is duly elected for the Bridlington South Ward ward of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
