Put your best foot forward for the YWR’s Annual Sponsored Walk

The Yorkshire Wolds Railway are pleased to announce that their annual sponsored walk will take place on Sunday 3rd July 2016 at 1pm for a 1.30pm start from Wharram Percy car park.

Chairman Ed Hague said: “2016 marks the 4th year of us holding a sponsored walk – such is their popularity. We are hopeful this year will be no expectation, and look forward to a good turn out and fine weather!

” The walk is around 4 miles in length and takes in some of the original track bed of the Malton and Driffield railway.”

Ed continued “Walkers will be welcome to join us on site at Fimber Halt to relax and see what their effort is going towards. The visitor centre and shop would be open, with teas and coffees available and locomotive Sir Tatton Sykes offering cab rides.”
