Update: Man arrested after hit-and-run crash leaves teenage cyclist critically ill

Police are appealing for any information about the collision or the vehicle or driver involved.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 63-year-old man has been arrested and a vehicle recovered in connection with the serious road traffic collision the happened in Elloughton late on Friday night (October 7).

He will now be questioned by officers about the collision which left a 16-year-old boy critically ill.

The teenager remains in Hull Royal Infirmary where his condition is still very poorly with life threatening injuries.

Sgt Claire Hall said: “We received a number of calls from members of the public following our appeal yesterday and we are extremely grateful for the support which assisted us in our investigation and ultimately in making an arrest.”
