Detective Chief Inspector Craig Nicholson said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident as a serious sexual assault and are appealing for the public to help us in identifying the man shown in this E-Fit.

“We believe that this man might be able to help us with our enquiries and would ask that if this is you or you know who this is please come to us at the earliest opportunity so that we can speak to you.

“The woman continues to be supported by specialist officers and is helping us with our enquiries.

“I maintain that I believe that this was an isolated incident and that I do not believe it is related to any other ongoing investigations.

“Having said that I would like to appeal to the public to help us ID this man so that we can speak to him about the incident.

“When the incident happened it was a race day on the Westwood and there would have been a lot of people in the area.

“As there is another race meeting on Monday I am hoping that people who are regular race-goers might be able to remember anything that could help us.”

If you have information that would help with the police’s enquiry please call non-emergency number 101 quoting log 416 25/04/19.
