Organisers of Nafferton’s Beer, Cider and Gin Festival have hailed the event another huge success after revellers enjoyed a day of family fun.

Blessed with beautiful warm sunny weather, guests enjoyed a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with live music, entertainment for the children and lots of laughter and fun.

Refreshments at the festival were provided by local companies including Wold Top Brewery, Pumphouse Brewery, Raven Hill, Orchards of Husthwaite cider and the Hooting Owl provided gin, rum and vodka.

The event, which took place at Nafferton Recreation Club, was organised to help raise funds for the club.

Caroline Martinson, events co-ordinator at Nafferton Recreation Club, said it was another excellent day.
She said: “We had a really good day and there was such a lovely atmosphere.

“We were so lucky with the weather because it helped make the event the success it was.

“The bands were all brilliant and everyone seemed to be having fun.

“I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped on the day and a special thank you to Andrea Hayes and Andrew Wilkinson who worked on the beer token sales and the gate all day.

“Thanks to main sponsors Bridlington Spa and Great Driffield Radio and all those who sponsored a keg, and to my dad, Phil, for running the bar all day.

“A special thanks to the people of Nafferton for supporting us once again.”
