DRIFFIELD SHOW 2022: A spell-binding show captivates the crowds

Spell-binding, incredible and emotional were just some of the words visitors used to describe their reaction to Atkinson Action Horses which captivated the crowds over the two days of Driffield Show.

Atkinson Action Horses, based in Eastrington, have spent the past 25 years training horses and riders for both film and TV.

The equine stunt performers last appeared at the Driffield Show in 2017 when they wowed the crowd with their exciting stunts and performance and visitors to this year’s Show were not disappointed.

The performance included a stunning section dedicated to the art of Liberty, with nine loose horses working together through complete harmony.

Ben Atkinson, who led the display from Atkinson Action Horses, said: “It has been absolutely fantastic to be back here at Driffield Show.

“The crowds have been huge and so enthusiastic, but of course, we are in Yorkshire and on home turf, so we would expect that.

“I was so happy to see everyone brave the heat on Wednesday and Thursday was a much cooler day, but all in all, it was a wonderful event.

“The horses have been firing on all cylinders.

“We gave them extra feed to give them more energy thinking they would drop off, but when we came to the last show on Thursday, they were full of stream and really up for it.

“We have had great feedback and we very much hope to be back at Driffield Show in the future.”
