Driffield School & Sixth Form’s keenly awaited and much-anticipated end of year celebration, the Year 11 Prom, took place at Beverley Racecourse on Friday 15 July.

Students arrived in an array of spectacular modes of transport ranging from high performance sports cars to tractors and trailers, camper vans and party buses.

The range of outfits were stunning, with all students looking the part and they appeared to thoroughly enjoy the celebrations.

Students were treated to a lovely two-course meal, followed by announcements of the best dressed students and awards for Prom Royalty – congratulations to Kousai Khaled Al Masalmeh and Tia Rayner for being the best dressed, and Chelsea Hudson and Jimmie Wilson for being named Prom royalty.

They also had lots of fun with photo booth mirror.

A statement from the school said: “The students have worked so hard for their GCSEs despite the disruption caused by the pandemic, and they should be very proud of all they have achieved. The night of celebration was very much deserved.”
