AMERICAN XL BULLY DOGS TO BE BANNED IN UK BY THE END OF THE YEAR

Prime minister Rishi Sunak has said that American XL bully dogs will be banned in the UK by the end of the year.

The move follows a spate of attacks in recent weeks, one of which saw a man mauled to death after being savaged buy two dogs in Staffordshire.

Mr Sunak said the move would end such attacks and keep people safe.

“It’s clear the American XL Bully dog is a danger to our communities,” he said. “I’ve ordered urgent work to define and ban this breed so we can end these violent attacks and keep people safe.”
