THE BEATLES RELEASE FINAL SONG FEATURING ALL FOUR MEMBERS OF THE GROUP

The Beatles have released their final song featuring all four members of the band. Now and Then was originally written and recorded by John Lennon in the late 1970s.

The song has been released as a double A-side with the band’s debut single, Love Me Do. After Lennon was murdered in 1980 at the age of 40, his wife, Yoko Ono, gave the tape to the Beatles’ other members.

Other recordings on the tape, Free As A Bird and Real Love were released in the 1990s.

At this time, George Harrison developed Now and Then, but it was never released due to limited technology at the time causing problem’s with extracting Lennon’s voice.

However, new audio restoration has allowed the demo to be cleaned up and used with Harrison’s electric and acoustic guitar recordings.

A music video to accompany the song will be also be released tomorrow. A documentary about the release of Now and Then was released on Wednesday evening.

Next Friday, two albums of the 1962-66 and 1967-70 collections will also be released.
