Individuals’ exhibition at Sewerby Hall and Gardens
Until Sunday 10th November an exhibition of portraits of members of Bridlington’s maritime community by artist Leanne Broadbent will be on show at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
Pop along and take in the history of the fishing industry in and around Bridlington. The exhibition is open daily, last admission at 4pm.

Fungi Foray at Oakhill
Discover the curious lives of fungi at Oakhill Nature Reserve on Saturday 28th September at 10am.
With the help from mycologist Caroline Hobart, you will be able to identify different types of fungi you find, some of which grows in the most curious of places.

Harry Potter Book Day at East Riding Libraries
Take on the care of magical creatures from 15th to 19th October, with the help of specially designed Hogwarts lessons.
De-gnome the gardens in Herbology, create spectacular sparkling animals in transfiguration and excel in the History of Magic with a ‘big wordsearch’, as well as the ever-popular picture hunt, naming ceremony and dramatic readings to set the scene, you’re sure to feel much less Muggle, and much more magic at these events.
Fancy dress very welcome but not essential. Most suitable for ages seven to 12, tickets £3 per child, one accompanying adult free.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens have lots of activities for all the family this October half term.
From exploring the Halloween trail and spooky gardens, to Rusticus Adventures and Halloween crafts.
Magic Mike: Not So Spooky Halloween Show at Bridlington Spa
Join Magic Mike and Count Chuckula on Thursday 31st October at 2pm, for a magical panto style show full of messy ghostly fun for the whole family.
This show is always an audience favourite and features costumes and routines from the Hey Presto Dancers alongside spooktacular colourful sets.
No wonder families come back to see it year after year. Don’t forget if you like, dress up in your favourite costumes to add to the fun.

Hallowbean at East Riding Libraries
Dr Frankenheinz is rustling up something special for the annual Halloween cooking competition, the Hallowbean.
The Dr hopes his tomatoey terror will dazzle ‘Scary’ Berry, the most frightful food critic of them all.
The only problem is this Hallowbean isn’t very scary. Will Halloween have to be cancelled?
Or can the Hallowbean find her scare in time? Showings of Hallowbean are on 31st October at Willerby and Goole library and 1st November at North Bridlington and Withernsea library.
This event is suitable for those aged between three years and 11 years. Tickets are £3, adults do not need a ticket, one adult per child.
