Radio 4 Today and BBC News presenter Mishal Husain to leave

The BBC has announced that Radio 4 Today presenter Mishal Husain will leave in the New Year.

Husain has hosted the current affairs show for 11 years and also fronted the recent general election debates.

The presenter has been at the BBC since 1998 and previously presented the BBC News at Six and Ten.

She has joined Bloomberg to host a new interview series and become editor-at-large of its Weekend Edition.

“My time at the BBC has involved many memorable moments, going to places I would never otherwise have seen, witnessing history and being part of live, national conversation on Radio 4,” said Husain.

“I will always be grateful for the opportunities the BBC gave me, and wish the organisation and everyone who is part of it the very best.”
