King’s Christmas speech to be delivered from former hospital chapel

King Charles’ Christmas Day message will be delivered from a former hospital chapel. The location comes following a year that has seen the King undergo treatment for cancer.
The speech will come from Fitzrovia Chapel, which was once the chapel for Middlesex Hospital. It’s the first time for over a decade that the monarch’s Christmas speech has been recorded from somewhere that is not a royal palace or estate.
The former chapel is now used for exhibitions and community events for people of any faith and none.
The Christmas Day speech will be delivered at 3pm and follows a tradition first started in 1932.
